Start Date: Saturday, 8th Wednesday the 12th of August 2020, 10:00 AM (GMT)
End Date: Saturday, 8th Wednesday the 12th of August 2020, 16:00 AM (GMT) or much earlier if all goes well
We're using a maintenance window to roll out some major new functionality and security-related options.
At this time, our website and Clientarea are being prepared and will be undergoing maintenance and updates of its core as we move to a new version of our general, public website.
This will help us to get our security to an even higher level, iron out some issues that we found along the way, and to the site ready for the possibility to add new functionality in the future much more easily.
As most of this will be 'under the hood' work you may or may not see any changes on the public side of things, but it should help us solve some long-standing issues now and give us more secure, stable and flexible options for the (near) future.
This means that only the general website, Clientarea and related services won't always be available.
All other (Hosted) services and all Hosting & Domain services will continue to work as usual.
We will do our utmost to keep the downtime to a minimum.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and if there are any questions, please contact our technical support team.
We apologise but we have to reschedule the current upgrade until Tuesday the 12th of August.
Some additional programming work that tested as working perfectly in the development environment seems to possibly create some minor disturbances in the live environment.
As we were only just starting the upgrade process there will be no downtime at all today.
The new planning will be Tuesday the 12th of August with a start at 10 am (GMT) and we'll change the title of this announcement to reflect this.
Apologies for any inconvenience but we want to make sure the upgrade goes as smooth as possible especially as it is such a big upgrade in so many areas

Because of excellent and diligent preparations, the site did not go down at all (well, milliseconds only) and the Clientarea was unavailable for less than 15 minutes!

We are going through the whole system to see if anything is missing or not working properly but all major and basic functions seem fine.

There are some new functions available to you already at this point, and more to come, but we will officially announce them at a later stage.
First things first is to make sure everything is working perfectly, faster and more secure than ever.
