General Information

Important for .COM.AR owners: Validation of contacts required

The COM.AR registry, NIC Argentina, has changed their policies. Unfortunately, we were informed only at short notice. All current and new domain holders of .COM.AR domains must provide documentation to proof their identity.
Please note that we have implemented as of now a temporary workaround for the registration and management of .COM.AR domains until the new process is defined in detail.

  • New .COM.AR domains can currently be registered only on behalf of our partner who provides a local presence. Later it will be possible to perform an owner change (contact validation required).
  • Domains expiring before October 28 can be renewed without validation of the owner contact.
  • All owners/registrants of domains whose expiration date are from October 28 and on, must validate their contact data in order to be able to renew and to continue managing their domains. If the contact details are not validated, the domains are at risk to be deleted by the registry. We will inform the affected customers in detail in a separate mailing.
