The CORE registry aims to implement the following launch schedule (ICANN’s approval is currently pending):
Pioneer Program: This pre-launch phase offers pioneers (ambassadors) the early-mover advantage to choose the best, premium domain names and actively use them before anybody else. CORE invites the applicants to submit their Expressions of Interest to pioneers@corenic.org by December 30, 2013.
Launch Phase: One single 60-day period for 5 categories
From January 16, 2014 (11:59:59 UTC) until March 19, 2014 (11:59:59 UTC)
Applications for all these 5 categories will be accepted simultaneously and will be allocated at the end of this single 60-day
Launch Phase window according to the hierarchy of priority status of each category.
Priority 1: Public Administrations only
Priority 2: Sunrise for TMCH-validated marks in Cyrillic script
Priority 3: Limited Registration (I) for trademarks in Cyrillic script registered in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Russia, Serbia and Ukraine
Priority 4: Limited Registration (II) for transliteration or transcription of Latin-script TMCH-validated marks into Cyrillic-script labels
No Priority: Landrush for registrants without priority rights

- No ASCII domain names available, only IDN domain names possible
- A domain cannot be deleted as long as it has subordinate host objects, i.e. as long as a host object exists which name is a subdomain of the domain's name.
- An authinfo string must have at least 4 characters and no more than 89 characters. No dictionary restrictions are imposed.
